Update your home office
Working from home can be lovely and creative, but sometimes it can also feel less fun or inspiring. With wallpapers, you can bring a new energy to your workspace.
Timeless, classic patterns create calm. Bold and colourful graphic designs spark creativity. Textured wallpapers inspire warmth. Floral motifs add softness and romance.
Another thing that is good to bear in mind is to make the most of natural light. This light shouldn’t take over your entire screen, but it should be close enough to give you ample light to work in.
The most important thing is to choose a pleasant environment, a room or space to thrive in. A desk is not only practical, but can also be a beautiful piece of furniture in the home. Try placing the desk more freely, instead of pushing it up against a wall. This creates a space in the room. Of course, good lighting is important for maintaining focus all day, and a comfortable, ergonomic chair is a worthwhile investment for longer days spent in front of a screen.
Create a space in a room
If you are short on space, you can still create a small workspace in your hallway or living room, for example. Block out the space with a beautiful folding screen, hang up pictures that frame it or mark it off using wallpaper. Create a background and give the space some personality.
Tidiness and order are important to creating calm and reducing clutter. Indulge in boxes, containers and pencil cases and choose storage in matching shades, or else wallpaper boxes with your favourite patterns. Or why not hand-pick nice pots and glasses from your own stash at home?
Finally, our advice is to “dare to try”. Find pieces at jumble sales or antiques shops and give them a new lease of life with a lick of paint or a new position in your home.
Find the joy in being at home, and go ”all in” on the style that you like!
