The lush Hassel pattern was designed by textile artist Viola Gråsten on commission for NK’s Textile Department in 1959. The pattern was originally printed on fabric, but today we digitally print Hassel as a mural wallpaper—with a smooth surface, yet a subtle linen texture for the right textile feel.
Here, the Hassel mural wallpaper’s stately trees appear in black against a background in a warm, deep shade of forest green with grey-brown undertones. The wallpaper is printed to order, made to measure for your wall.

Yes, our wallpapers are printed on materials sourced from sustainable forestry. In production, no PVC or harmful solvents are used, and they exclusively work with water-based paints and surface treatments that can be safely handled in the factory's own purification facilities. The factory continually strives to reduce energy consumption, for instance, by using production waste for district heating in the city of Borås. And when you receive the finished wallpaper roll from Boråstapeter, it is packaged in recyclable material.
