We carry out our sustainability reporting in accordance with the GHG Protocol. Together, we have mapped the entirety of Scope 1, 2 and 3. Based on the data collected, change projects are prioritised and continuously driven in the factory to reduce the carbon footprint.
As raw materials and processes are, to such a great extent, harmless to the environment from the outset, inga advanced chemical purification facilities with flue gas filters or similar are needed in the manufacturing process.
Reduced energy consumption
The factory places great focus on reducing energy consumption both among suppliers and in its own production. Much of the energy used, including for printing and drying, is recovered through heat exchange and used to heat the premises.
Minimal water consumption
To further care for nature and the surrounding environment, the factory has built its very own water treatment plant. Here, all paint residues are separated from the process wastewater so that only clean and controlled water is discharged into the municipal sewer system for final treatment. All emissions are measured and monitored, and remain below all current limit values. We also place great focus on minimising water consumption and reusing as much as possible.
The factory works systematically with continuous improvements to streamline production and minimise waste and residual waste. The waste that cannot be recirculated is recycled into heat and energy at the municipal district heating plant, thereby replacing the need for other fossil fuels.
