Our history

More than a hundred years later, both we and the world look different, and to reflect the fact that Boråstapeter is gaining more and more customers in different parts of the world, we have therefore updated that vision to: “Inspired by our Swedish heritage, we create sustainable design for more beautiful homes.”

We are proud to have been creating wallpapers that feel exactly right for their time for more than a century. And what is more, they have the ability to endure, both on walls and in people’s hearts. With us, you will find the wallpaper classics of today and tomorrow. Lasting quality means both style and craftsmanship, as well as manufacturing made to stand the test of time.

The desire to inspire has always been strong within Boråstapeter – both through the positive emotions we evoke with our beautiful patterns, colours and materials, and through our eagerness to share our knowledge with all of you who, just like us, want to create warmer, more personal homes with wallpaper.

Pride in craftsmanship and a sense of quality are part of who we are. Together with Boråstapetfabrik, we have spent many years developing and refining even the smallest details in both the creative design process and production. It shows in everything, from the careful choice of paper to the environmentally friendly printing technique and, not least, in our great love of patterns.

Choosing a wallpaper from Boråstapeter is a safe choice. With our wide range of wallpapers for every room and every home, we can offer something that appeals to most people, and we are proud of that.
