By placing an order, you confirm that you have read through – and agree to be bound by – these terms of use and consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy below.

General information about Boråstapeter

To shop with Boråstapeter, you must be at least 18 years old and legally entitled to enter into contracts.

These general terms and conditions of sale set out the rules that apply when you order goods from us. The terms “we”, “our”, “us” and “ours” below refer to Boråstapeter AB. By ticking that you accept our terms, you agree to be bound by the version of these terms that is current at any given time.

As different screens and individual screen settings affect colour reproduction, we cannot guarantee that the colour shades of the products match the images shown when you, as a consumer, visit our website. We reserve the right for any printing and typographical errors.

Contracting party & payment terms

Items in stock are normally shipped to your collection point within 1–3 days. Orders placed after 2 pm are usually processed the following day.

You choose your payment method and delivery option at checkout; partner terms apply. Once your purchase is completed, you will receive an order confirmation by email. In most cases, the email reaches you right away, but sometimes it may take a little longer depending on server load. We also recommend checking your spam folder to make sure the email has not ended up there by mistake.

To shop with us, you must be at least 18 years old or have a guardian’s approval.

All prices shown include VAT unless otherwise stated.

Registration & personal data processing

Registration with Boråstapeter is free of charge and does not require a purchase. When placing an order, you must provide the information requested in the registration form. This includes your name, address and contact details, including a valid email address.

We process your information in order to fulfil our agreement with you, deliver your products, and more. We will also use your information to send offers and tell you about new products or services. Your personal data may also be transferred between us and other companies in our group, as well as to the retailer(s) you choose. By entering your details when placing an order, you consent to us processing your personal data in this way, in accordance with the Personal Data Act (1998:204).

If you wish to withdraw your consent, you may do so in whole or in part by sending us a written notice; you will find the address further down, under Privacy Policy. If your withdrawal means that it becomes difficult for us at Boråstapeter to fulfil the agreement or other obligations, we reserve the right to refuse delivery of the ordered products or terminate the agreement with immediate effect. Orders & delivery terms

All products on our website are sold at the price (including VAT) stated in the webshop, while stocks last. We cannot guarantee that sold-out products will be delivered at a later date or replaced with similar products, and we therefore reserve the right to reject an order in whole or in part.

If the price or product information stated on our website is clearly incorrect, and you realized or reasonably should have realized this, we reserve the right to cancel your order. In such cases, we will notify you so that you as a customer have the opportunity to place a new order if you wish.

Your order is binding only after we have confirmed it. The confirmation is sent by email and applies even if it has been sent to an incorrect email address. If you have not received any goods within 10 days, without having been informed of an extended delivery time, something has gone wrong, and we ask you to contact us at order@borastapeter.com and use your order number as a reference.

When your order has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation by email with a tracking number for your chosen carrier. Please note that the link is activated when the carrier collects the parcel, and only then will it be possible to track your order via the link.

If your product cannot be delivered within the normal delivery time, our aim is to contact you as soon as possible with a date when delivery can take place.

The wallpaper calculator, our tool for calculating how many rolls you need for wallpapering, is based on full walls and does not take windows, doors, or similar features into account. We recommend keeping any leftover wallpaper, preferably a full roll, in case the wallpaper is damaged later on. Since each collection has a unique color mix (batch number), there is no guarantee that replacement wallpaper will match the wallpaper already on your wall in terms of color.

Right of withdrawal & returns

You have a 14-day right of withdrawal on our products, valid for unopened packaging. For returns registered within 14 days from receiving your order, the full amount will be refunded minus the return shipping cost. Please note: we do not accept returns of wallpaper samples or custom-fit wallpapers. The return shipping cost will be deducted from your refund once we have registered your return.

Complaints

If you discover any issue with your goods, we ask you to send your order number, photo documentation, and a description of the issue to order@borastapeter.com as soon as possible, and we will normally get back to you within one business day with a proposed solution. If you are unfortunate enough to receive a defective or damaged item on delivery, we will of course replace it with a fault-free and undamaged product.

We always recommend checking the product for any faults or transport damage before installation. This is important, as we do not reimburse associated costs (such as the cost of a tradesperson or compensation for your time) arising from, for example, incorrect installation. Nor do we reimburse any cost for re-wallpapering if the item is defective.

Complaints must be made within a reasonable time, and it is up to the buyer to demonstrate that the fault is due to the product. If you made your purchase through a retailer, please contact them regarding returns and complaints.

Shipping cost

You as the customer are responsible for the shipping cost unless otherwise stated in your order or agreed otherwise.

Suspension

We have the right to close your account with us if you breach these terms of use.

Assignment

Your account with Boråstapeter is personal and may not be transferred to a third party. We are entitled to transfer all, or certain, rights (such as the right to payment) and obligations under these terms to another party. We are also entitled to engage subcontractors to fulfil our obligations.

Changes to the terms

Changes or additions to these terms will take effect one month after the new terms have been published on our website. However, we always have the right to make such changes with immediate effect if they are required by law, regulation, or a decision by a public authority. If you do not accept any change or addition to these terms of use, you have the right to terminate your customer account by written notice to the address at the bottom. If you do not terminate your account, you will be deemed to have accepted the new terms.

Copyright

All images, all text, and other content on our website are protected by copyright, trademark protection, and other intellectual property rules and laws. Unless otherwise stated, all material on the website is our exclusive property, which means that you may not take our images and use them for anything else.

Force majeure

A party is not liable for delay or loss caused by circumstances beyond that party’s control that materially hinder the fulfilment of the obligation in question, or that make fulfilment of the obligation not economically justifiable. If a party wishes to invoke such circumstances, the other party must be notified without delay.

Mandatory legislation

Nothing in these terms shall be interpreted as constituting exceptions to or waivers of mandatory legislation applicable to purchases made under these terms.

Disputes

Any dispute arising from these terms shall be decided by a Swedish court. We and our retailers generally follow the recommendations of the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN).

Who is responsible for your personal data?

Boråstapeter AB is the data controller for the personal data processed within the company, as well as by our processors.

Your rights

You have the right to know what we do with your personal data, when and how your personal data is processed, and why. In addition, you have the right to access your personal data and to have it transferred, corrected, or deleted.

Right of access

You may, free of charge once a year, request information about which personal data we have stored, the purposes for processing this personal data, and information about where this personal data was obtained from.

In order for us to locate your personal data and send it to you, we need your name, personal identity number, address, telephone number, and email address. Please also state which email address you would like the information sent to, as well as which password you would like the compressed file to have.

To ensure that only you are granted access to this information, it is important that, in addition to your signature, you also include a copy of an approved identity document with your request.

Right to erasure

We store your Customer Information for as long as you are a customer with us. When our agreement ends, the information is deleted, except in cases where we are required by law to keep it for a longer period (for example under the Bookkeeping Act).

As a customer, you always have the right to contact us and request that your personal data be deleted. Personal data must be deleted in the following cases:

  • If the personal data is no longer needed for the purposes for which we collected and process it.
  • If the processing is based solely on your consent and you withdraw that consent.
  • If the processing is carried out for direct marketing purposes and you object to the processing of your personal data.
  • If you object to the processing of personal data carried out on the basis of a balancing of interests and there are no legitimate grounds that outweigh your interest.
  • If personal data is not processed in accordance with the regulations.
  • If erasure is required in order to comply with a legal obligation.

Complaints

If you believe that we are processing your personal data in breach of applicable data protection legislation, you should notify us as soon as possible. You may also contact the Swedish Data Protection Authority directly and submit your complaint.

Cookies

To ensure that you receive the most relevant information and the best service when using our and our partners’ online services, information is collected through so-called cookies on your device. You can set your browser to reject or delete certain cookies. Please note, however, that if you choose to block cookies, this may impair the functionality of our website and some features may not work at all.
