With a feel for the material
We strive to create products that last for a long time, both in style and quality.
We strive to create products that last for a long time, both in style and quality.
We follow and create trends, but aim for patterns and colours that can stand the test of time and be appreciated for years to come. We also enjoy delving into our extensive historical archives, where many classic patterns can be found for inspiration and reuse.
Our wallpapers are made either from paper or non-woven material. The base paper in our wallpapers is a blend of mechanically unbleached pulp and chemically bleached pulp to provide the very best product properties. The bleached pulp consists of what is known as ECF pulp, Elemental Chlorine Free. This means that elemental chlorine has not been used; instead, chlorine dioxide is used, which does not react in the same way during bleaching and is not as harmful to the environment as old-fashioned chlorine bleaching.
Environmentally friendly and PVC-free
The base paper is PVC-free and processed as environmentally responsibly as possible. The non-woven wallpapers are based on a blend of cellulose and polyester fibres. PET fibres are used to give the wallpaper greater strength and make it possible to paste the wall when hanging it.
Without solvents
No solvent-based paints are used, only water-based printing inks that are free from PVC, environmentally harmful and allergenic substances, and heavy metals.
The wallpaper is often given a surface treatment to make it more durable and long-lasting; better able to resist stains and easier to wipe clean.
Recyclable material
All packaging materials are recyclable. The wallpaper roll is wrapped in a thin polyolefin film, and the boxes are made of corrugated cardboard. The wallpapers can be recovered as energy through incineration and are not classified as hazardous waste.
The factory works continuously to improve across the entire environmental area. This means keeping up with developments to find even better material solutions. It also means choosing raw materials and suppliers with care. The main suppliers practise environmentally responsible forestry.
