Who is responsible for your personal data?

Boråstapeter AB is the data controller for the personal data processed within the company, as well as by our processors.

What personal data do we collect?

We collect the personal data needed to fulfil our customers’ orders. The personal data we process is the information that you provide to us yourself. In most cases, this is contact information such as name, telephone number, email address, and address.

How do we use your personal data?

  • To process our customers’ orders.
  • To send you notifications about delivery status.
  • To contact you in connection with deliveries of your goods.
  • To answer your questions.
  • To keep you updated about our products.

We store your data for as long as required to fulfil the purposes stated above, or for as long as we are legally obliged to do so. After that, your personal data will be deleted.

How is the data protected?

We follow appropriate technical and organisational security measures to ensure that all information we process is protected from unauthorised access. Only a limited number of employees have access to information about you, and their handling of the information is strictly regulated.

Your rights

You have the right to know what we do with your personal data, when and how your personal data is processed, and why. You also have the right to access your personal data and to have it transferred, corrected, or deleted.

Right of access

Once a year, free of charge, you may request information about which personal data we have stored about you, the purposes for processing that personal data, and information about where that personal data was obtained from.

Requests to access such information must be made in writing and sent to us at the address below:

In order for us to locate your personal data and send it to you, we need your name, personal identity number, address, telephone number, and email address. Please also state which email address you would like the information sent to, as well as the password you would like the compressed file to have.

To ensure that only you are granted access to this data, it is important that, in addition to your signature, you also include a copy of an approved identification document with your request.

Right to rectification

We are responsible for ensuring that the personal data we process is accurate and up to date. However, if you notice that we have incorrect information about you, you have the right to request that we correct such information. You also have the right to add any personal data that you believe is missing and that is relevant in relation to the purpose for which we process your personal data.

If the data has been corrected at your request, we will make sure to inform those to whom we have disclosed the data that it has been corrected. However, this does not apply if it proves impossible or would involve a disproportionately burdensome effort. At your request, we will inform you to whom the correction has been disclosed.

Right to erasure

We store your Customer Data for as long as you are a customer with us. When our agreement has ended, it will be deleted, except where we are required by law to retain it for a longer period (for example under accounting legislation).

As a customer, you always have the right to contact us and request that your personal data be erased. Personal data must be erased in the following cases:

  • If the personal data is no longer needed for the purposes for which we collected and process it;
  • If the processing is based solely on your consent and you withdraw that consent;
  • If the processing is carried out for direct marketing purposes and you object to the personal data being processed;
  • If you object to the processing of personal data carried out on the basis of a balancing of interests and there are no legitimate grounds that outweigh your interest;
  • If personal data is not processed in accordance with the regulations;
  • If erasure is required in order to comply with a legal obligation.

Complaints

If you believe that we are processing your personal data in violation of applicable data protection regulations, you should notify us of this as soon as possible. You may also contact the Swedish Data Protection Authority directly and submit your complaint.
