Read more about the Herrgård collection

Out of a longing to revive a bygone elegance and put it in a new light, Herrgård was born - a collection filled with patterns inspired by magnificent halls, painted tiled stoves, verdant parks and vibrant dress fabrics. You can almost feel the fantastic wingspan of history when we let the country's most beautiful, most idyllic mansions show the way and inspire patterns that are as stylish as they are timeless - some rediscovered treasures from Boråstapeter's pattern archive, others completely newly drawn compositions. Like Sophia Magdalena, a flourishing pattern inspired by the 18th-century Chinese wallpaper at Åby Frälsegård outside Gothenburg, Hildasholm, whose Arts & Crafts pattern is clearly inspired by the manor of the same name, and Alnarp, which is a lovely homage to our beautiful castle and manor parks.

Herrgård is a model tribute to the manor life of bygone times and its magnificent interiors. And just like in our Swedish mansions, the Gustavian heritage, with its bright, clean and timeless expression, is in focus. Where the stripped down but exquisitely decorated can take a large place in the form of airy floral compositions as well as stylish stripes. But the collection also contains darker and more saturated color schemes of, among other things, burgundy, blue and mustard yellow.

To really bring the manor house feel to life, all the designs in the collection are printed with artisanal adhesive printing, and whether the choice falls on a wallpaper with ornate bell vines, classic ornaments or stylized flowers, the result is the same – a living, tactile and genuine sense of timeless elegance.
