Paper wallpapers create a cosy and warm feel. The paper quality is flexible and easy to work with, and covers the surface well.
They are hung by pasting each length rather than pasting the wall, and are installed with overlapping seams. Read the instructions included with the wallpaper carefully; there you will also find article information about pattern matching and adhesive recommendations.
1. Apply paste to the wallpaper
Spread the paste evenly over the entire strip and apply a generous layer. Start in the middle and work out towards the edges.
2. Fold together
Fold the wallpaper 3/4 down from the top edge and the rest up from the bottom edge. Paste several strips at a time. Let the strips soak for at least 10 minutes before hanging them. It is good if they are thoroughly moistened.
3. Unfold
Unfold the upper part of the strip. Attach the upper half of the strip with a few centimetres of overlap against the ceiling trim. Make sure the first strip hangs straight. Release the lower part of the strip and attach it. Brush the strip into place with a wallpaper brush. Smooth it out from the middle and out towards the edges.
4. Trim neatly
Press the wallpaper firmly into place along trims and skirting boards. Then trim neatly with a wallpaper knife. It is important that the knife is sharp, so change blades often.
