How to wallpaper around wall sockets
Always start by switching off the electricity, then remove the cover plate with a screwdriver.
Use a brush to apply wallpaper paste closest to the socket.
Also use the brush to apply paste along the ceiling and skirting board. Roll the rest of the wall with an even layer of paste, one wallpaper width at a time, with a little extra margin.
Now hang the wallpaper strip! Start at the top and position the strip as close to the next one as possible, with a gap of two to three millimetres. Smooth the strip with the wallpapering tool to remove any air bubbles.
When you reach the wall socket, take your wallpaper knife and trim neatly around the socket. Trim the strip at the skirting board and finally screw the cover plate back on.
